LYNNETTE'S PROGRAMS

Lynnette Cole is driven by a set of principles instilled in her at the age of 5.  Adopted at an early age along with her biological brother Sean, Lynnette was raised in the home of Larry and Gail Cole of Columbia, Tennessee.  The Cole Family consisted of 130 siblings that had been adopted by Larry and Gail over the years.  This tight-knit family would prove to be the life-long embodiment of how Lynnette grew to be the person she is today.

Lynnette's professional career was suddenly be taken to a higher level following the Miss USA Scholarship Pageant in 2000.  Lynnette had captured the Miss Tennessee Crown and would represent the great State of Tennessee in her quest to take one of the most coveted titles in the world of pageantry.  Competing against 50 other beautiful, talented and intelligent young women, Lynnette would prove to certainly be among the top of that class.  The judges selected their top 10 and amidst the excitement was none other than Lynnette Cole.  Excited and nervous as she had every reason to be, the top 5 would be the next hurdle to jump.  Lynnette had a huge following of friends, family and fellow Tennessee residents that sat in the crowd and in front of the television hoping and praying for a victory.  At last, the top 5 would be chosen.  Lynnette's dream was as close as it had ever been before.  When the host mentioned Lynnette's name a sense of relief came over her, but almost instantaneously another presented itself.  From a class of 51 state delegates only 5 remain.  The host announced the 4th runner-up, then the 3rd runner-up, and now the 2nd runner-up, only leaving 2 final women and one of those women was Miss Tennessee, Lynnette Cole.  This was the moment she had worked so hard for.  This was the moment that would define and shape her future.  As the moment presented two of the most nervous young women in America, the host named the 1st runner-up.  Lynnette was crowned Miss USA 2000 in front of millions around the world.  A glorious moment for any young women who strives to be a Miss USA Titleholder.  This moment would prove to be a most uplifting feeling for Lynnette and those who supported her in her journey to Miss USA Crown.

Since that momentous evening, Lynnette's career has been nothing but prosperous.  Lynnette is a successful television host for NBC, CMT, ESPN, MTV, VH-1 and made many appearances on "As the World Turns".  Along with her hosting career she has also appeared in numerous print advertising campaigns and commercials.

High on her list of accomplishments is winning the Miss Tennessee USA title in 2000 allowing her the opportunity to forever become apart of pageant history as the first woman from Tennessee to be crowned Miss USA.  As her causes and platform, she championed for breast and ovarian cancer as well as advocated for today's youth, bringing awareness to the great need of foster care and adoption within our Nation.

Today, Lynnette travels the United States speaking to organizations who want to raise the bar on leadership.  Whether she is speaking to a high school, college, corporation or an association, Lynnette always stresses that preparation, discipline and focus are the key ingredients to living a successful and healthy life.

In every one of us there are two ruling and directing principles, whose guidance we follow whereever they may lead; the one being an innate desire of pleasure; the, an acquired judgment which aspires after excellence.                Socrates
